Rugby World Cup 2011 – Northland plays an important role in the RWC tournament. Whangarei is hosting 2 pool games at the Northland Events Centre. Teams from Canada, Japan and Tonga will be based in both Kerikeri (Bay of Islands) and Whangarei during September.
