We bought a deal on treat me for a deluxe room. My husband described it best saying it was deluxe if you'd lived on the streets for 12 months! the bathroom made you feel like you were prepping yourself for surgery! wet floor shower and a pedestal basin and toilet and that was it. Nowhere to put anything. There were no cupboards or wardrobes to put anything but we did find some coat hangers in a small drawer.!!!!!!! reading another review about about a deluxe room being very spacious makes me feel we may have been stuffed into a spare box instead even tho we booked our room several months ago. I will give them credit for the cleanliness of the place but that's where it ends i'm afraid. .

We booked with a voucher, which included parking, free wifi, and breakfast. Even though we had a deal which included parking it was not available as the small car park is on a first come basis. We had to park on the street which has plenty of parking and is free from 2pm on saturday and all day sunday, but is metered parking the rest of the time. Our room and bathroom were very nice and a good size with plenty of room and good furniture. The bed was very comfortable and it was good to have a good size fridge. It was also a very quiet hotel. The restaurant was not open for breakfast at 7am as it was meant to be.the hotel reception staff member arrived at 7.05am and we told him that the restaurant had not opened. He had a key and went into the restaurant to see the chef. Apparently the waitress had not turned up. He let us into the restaurant and the chef took our order and cooked our breakfast. The waitress eventually arrived. Overall a very nice hotel.

Enjoyed our stay - comfortable bed, - all necessities provided - bright and clean - the bonus was the restaurant which served a tasty and substantial breakfast - the best poached eggs i have ever tasted. The staff were helpful and obliging. This hotel is central to napier's beautiful shops and opposite clyde square with it's spectacular flower gardens. Altogether a very pleasant stay. Will definitely be going again.
